Manuel Martínez
Manuel Martínez: Financial Expert, Numerologist, and Writer
Born in Madrid, Spain, on May 22, 1957, Manuel Martínez is a man whose professional career and achievements have left an indelible mark on the financial, artistic, and literary worlds.
His academic journey began at the Complutense University of Madrid, where he earned a degree in Political Science and Sociology. However, his ambition took him beyond Spain’s borders. In 1983, he graduated with a Master’s in International Business from the prestigious Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona.
After finishing his studies, he moved to New York and joined the Chase Manhattan Bank. Over five years, he climbed the ranks to become Second Vice President. His pursuit of new horizons led him to Miami in 1988, where he joined American Express Bank International as First Vice President and later advanced to Senior Vice President.
In 1993, he joined Shearson Lehman Brothers as Senior Vice President and Portfolio/Investment Manager. Later, his vision and skills led him to establish his own company: International Business Company, Worldwide Consulting Group, Inc., where he develops investment and advisory capabilities for AXA Advisors and various Swiss banking institutions.
Manuel is not only a financial expert; he is also a prolific author and playwright. His first play, “The Adventures of Don Quixote in Miami”, premiered at the Colony Theater in Miami Beach in October 2000 and ran for five weeks. Additionally, together with Yolandi Hughes, he founded the group “Dreamers Theater”, which operated in Coral Gables, Florida, for three years.
His theatrical work “The Dreamer who Unlocked the Secrets of the Universe” was presented in March and April 2003 at Dreamers Theater, Coral Gables. Later, he published the graphic novel “The Dreamer who Unlocked the Secrets of the Universe: The Adventures of Don Quixote in Miami” in July 2003 and his novel in September of the same year.
In 2004, he published the first English edition of “11 The Secret Code”. In 2006, the Spanish edition reached sales of over ten thousand copies in the United States, being recognized in Miami as a Best Seller 2007. In Argentina, it sold more than 15,000 copies and remained on the bestseller lists for several months.
His legacy transcends borders and disciplines, with novels like “NOSTRADAMUS” (2018), which explores prophecies and numerology, and “The War of the Gods”, an emotional work that addresses political-economic domination through historical figures such as Jesus Christ, Pythagoras, Cleopatra, Napoleon, Hitler, and Martin Luther King, among others.

Phyllis Barash
Phyllis Barash was born in Brooklyn, New York, and has traveled extensively. She currently resides in Miami Beach, Florida. Mrs. Barash is an actress, playwright, author, producer, director, lyricist, lecturer, artist, and tango dancer.
She has had ten plays produced in the South Florida area, including five children’s plays commissioned by the Coconut Grove Playhouse, which were performed in schools throughout Miami-Dade. Mrs. Barash’s musical play, The Sheepdog That Danced Ballet, with music by Barry Butler, has had ten productions since its premiere at the Royal Palm Dinner Theatre in Boca Raton, Florida. It was performed with dancers in Artistree, Hutchinson, Kansas, for three consecutive years at the historic Fox Theatre. Her acclaimed play, Schumann: The Soul of a Romantic, was produced in Hollywood, Florida.
Mrs. Barash has also written, directed, and produced interactive murder mysteries and wedding shows for corporate events, fundraisers, and private parties, performing at numerous schools and the Miami Children’s Museum. Additionally, she has taught on Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas.
Her remarkable book, The Tango and Me… The Life and Loves of Jorge Nel Giraldo, is a biography of her first tango teacher, who was born in Colombia.
Together with Manuel Martínez, Phyllis co-authored the bestselling novel 11… The Secret Code, which was translated into Spanish and published by Random House, with distribution across the United States, Buenos Aires, Spain, and Mexico. Their latest book, Nostradamus… My First Novel, has just been published. They are currently collaborating on 22… The War of the Gods.
Mrs. Barash communicates in many diverse and creative ways. She leads a fascinating and magical life and believes that each day brings extraordinary opportunities. Her passion is sharing her whimsical and unique visions. Most recently, she wrote a play for the North Miami Beach Police Department about children’s safety, which will be performed in schools this fall.
